Accessibility
Voting information must be usable by every voter. This site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA and is built with:
- High-contrast text on a light background (all text/background pairs at or above 4.5:1).
- A visible focus indicator on every interactive element and a skip-to-content link.
- Semantic HTML landmarks, labeled navigation, and a logical heading order on every page.
- Fully keyboard-navigable menus and forms with programmatically associated labels.
- No autoplaying media, no flashing content, and animation limited to subtle transitions.
- Responsive layout that supports 200% zoom and small screens without horizontal scrolling.
Accessible voting resources
- EAC: Voters with disabilities — federal resources on accessible registration and voting.
- USA.gov: How to vote — includes accommodations available at polling places.
- Your state or local election office — the authority on accessible voting machines, curbside voting, and assistance rules in your area.
